Day 1: Pick up from Nairobi and transfer to Lake Magadi for bird watching

Your birding adventure begins with a morning pick-up in Nairobi, where your experienced driver-guide will welcome you before departing for Lake Magadi. Located in Kenya’s southern Rift Valley, this shallow alkaline lake is one of the country’s premier birdwatching destinations, celebrated for its impressive diversity of birdlife and dramatic landscapes.

Arriving in the afternoon, you’ll head straight out for your first guided birding excursion. Lake Magadi is well known for attracting large numbers of flamingos, pelicans, and more than 100 recorded bird species.
